Still Frame

To far behind, to make it in time. Crossing the bridge, dangling on the ledge of faith.
What lies in my hands, I've crumbled to dust. In a dim light, I catch a glimpse of a picture of us. Burning embers smolder away leaving me with the essence of what was before, like watching the sunset, there will never be one of the same, ever more. Forgiveness should be in order for the cruel words exchanged, but living in the reality of the pain, it can't be arranged.
