Tears of Acid Rain

My bellowed screams
are drowned in my own lake of tears
and no one's left
to hear them.
My tears of acid rain
slither down my cheeks,
just like the dirt they are.
Each new stream burns its ugly face
onto my poisoned soul,
searing with each
gasp of air.
The force of my misery
throws my bones,
as if to rock me to eternal sleep.
Despair bares
its sharpened teeth,
gnashing at what's left of me
after others have helped me to
destroy myself.
