Night of The Vampires

Topic: DarkPoetry

Night of the Vampires

As the sun sets,
The towns-folk must hide.
For soon the moon will rise,
And the Undead will consume thou life.

They take no pity on those who beg to live,
Two puncture wounds to the neck, they give.
Flying free around the town to feed,
Laughing evily, as the people flee.

One, two, three......people gone,
Three more undead.
Soon the vampires will have nothing left to feed on.
The brood of Undead grow,
Just as the living die so slow.
Blood leaving thier body,
Only to be filled with constant need to drink,
Of what has been taken from them.

The screams will fill you with fright.
But soon the moon will set,
And the sun will rise.
The Vampires flee to thier coffins,
To sleep,
Until the next Night.

Gotta let down the guard and invite the dark in sometimes ... right ?

I like this ... it's like a glimpse into the shadowed recesses of a poorly lit alleyway. You can sense a disturbance ... you just don't know if it's after you ... yet.
