Aren't You There?

Contributed by weepingprophet on Wednesday, 23rd February 2005 @ 10:37:56 PM in AEST
Topic: insomniac

two o'clock
can you see me anymore
3 o'clock
where are you now?
i'm typing just as fast as i can
i'm begging
i'm pleading
to swallow this down
this plan
this exaggerated fable

aren't you there?
were you ever?
was i naive
is there really nothing better
i can't stand to look at these eyes
i'm tired
you know i'm disguised
to be faith but i'm weaker than *****
i'm nothing
and you've got the best of it
that last particle of hope
is dead in your name
is this just a game

hey god,
it's 2 o'clock again
i can't sleep
i'm stirring again
i can't eat i can't drink
maybe i'll think
but you always disappear
when i open my eyes
you always disappear
why do you hide?

hey god
aren't you there?

Really good write. Very human and open. Honest too, I've had God disappear on me too at times...or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong direction? Anyway, good write!

you all look at this peice, these empty words and interpret them with such ease. you blindly trust that these words are forming ideas, concepts that you've experienced that you can comprehend. the truth is words are deception at its best and you are all deceived.

~questions are the answers~weepingprophet

p.s. i do appreciate comments this is merely an observation.
