Stronger Than I Am

Contributed by lonely-nobody on Thursday, 24th February 2005 @ 12:16:33 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Dying slowly and still
the tears don't shed
Lord knows she's stronger
than i am
And the will to survive
Just won't let her live

(chorus)
And she's so innocent
She's losing it
Hiding from her pain
But it still finds a way
to hurt again
She's stronger than I am

She tells me the dark
is closing in
And I still don't want to believe
This is her end
Her heart shall never mend
But still she's stronger than
i am

(Repeat Chorus)

If I could, I would
take her place
Cause I don't want to see
The smile that's on her face
Disappear with the light
She's hanging on with all her might
But letting go, giving in to
the night

(Repeat Chorus)

She's done said her goodbyes
But she doesn't want to leave
like this
There's too many things she hasn't said
She's stronger than I am

Very beautiful and touching words.
I liked these words a lot:
'And the will to survive
Just won't let her live'

Marterfully composed... and tenderly expressed.
