My Walls of Insanity

Contributed by --skoTch-- on Sunday, 27th February 2005 @ 07:14:01 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I hate you, I hate the world, I hate me.
Demons filled with blood shed terror running through my mind.
Antagonism washed upon the shore of the tortured emotions presented internally.
Flailing my arms to keep from drowning, but never have I found my swimmers legs.
Kick and scream, but all is clamped down.
Fight till death due us partwith this knife I thee wed
Feel the burn of the welt I leave.
My warning is this, my love, bitter sweet.
I smile to you, and all your thoughts are here.
Bite down in agonizing triumph, feel the flesh locked between your jaws.
I just want your tears.
Brilliant minds surround, and in the circle I violently tremble.
Eyes of black and red and yellow, gleaming throughout the darkened pools.
Thick like syrup; three times as sweet.
Insanity has become of me
And the throbbing starts, whispers alas
Countless voices
Drill through my hollowed head, sensations of warmth.
Leave me behind, carry on with your strengths.
Ill pull you under with my lies.
Wicked stares of pain and sorrow, snarling their critical threats.
Resilient anger flexes its arrogance
And remorse conquers my conscience so.
I do liveI am here
To walk this Earth with scars at my feet.
It is time-
Im sorry

It's called "stream of consciousness". I have had similar experiences and they can be as inviting as they are disturbing

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
