Make the pain fall between the cracks of your brittle heart
Love is trust, trust is love
I have neither in my hands
I walk this black path alone.
I hate this and what I am.
What have I come to be? Where is my innocence lost so long ago?
Still falling in darkness forever falling
My soul has captured nothing in this journey
Grasping, clawing;
Dont leave me here,
You promised, you promised
And this is where my trust slips away, this is where youve made your mistake
Fragile as I am, I still understand
Nobody can love me
With loving me comes chains
Chains to rub your skin raw in my hurt.
I want you to feel as I do;
I want you to be free, for I can never be.
Take me with you.
Lies, all lies.
With memories to fill the nights I sleep
Nightmares to awaken me, screams absorbed into my mentality.
Blood travels in slow motion, seeping between the moon and stars
And Im dreaming of you tonight
Thrown into the ink, thrashing violently beneath your laughter
Beneath your promises
Betrayal is here
Where Ive come to claim defeat
My eyes lift to see the thunder roll in from all sides
Tears streak my face, the face of a coward
Into my cage I return to bleed
Into a cage without a key
Dont fret, love, I have the key.
I cover my ears as the laughter begins
It grows softer as you amble away
Into the distance my eyes search for a sign
A fool to keep looking, a fool to believe
Will you never learn?
