Never before
have I cried for joy.
Now I cant hold
back my tears.
My pain is gone
Forgotten and behind.
I stand and sing,
arms held so high
The love inside
never felt so strong.
I cant ignore
others that are lost,
as I was once.
I must use
my own past
to help those
where I was once
I know I chose that darkness.
You waited patiently
you never pushed
or screamed
Just waited here for me.
Today I sing.
I can now smile.
I chose the way
that takes me Home again.
