Not Knowing Is So Hard For My Heart

Contributed by xtremcalibur on Monday, 28th February 2005 @ 05:47:29 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Sitting in our room
I await your return
Oh how I love you
Anticipation building up inside
A tear fills my eye as I wonder
Where you are.

Minutes turn into hours
Frightened that something may be wrong
Walking to and from the window
I listen for your bike
Not a sound familiar in the air
Oh honey are you near?

Finally the phone rings
Running with glee
Just to hear your voice my heart pleas
Let it be you, please, let it be you
Listening with only silence from the other side
Hello honey, is that you?

Trying to hold back the tears I could tell
A soft voice told me the love of my life is gone
Hoping it wasn't what I thought she might have meant
The voice said honey we are bringing you home
Not without my sweetie, he will be back soon
No honey, he will not.

Honey, there's so much in life that we must do
Numb from not knowing, I don't know how to feel
I feel like I am within a nightmare
Afraid to see because then I would know
Honey, did you know how much I loved you
Where you're at, does it matter anymore?

Love and passion ruled our lives
Nothing else mattered but you and I
Are you laying besides me and holding my hand
Are you here with me honey cause I could use a hug
Oh God, let it not be true
I missed you from the moment you left; was that our last kiss?

I got chills reading this...how sad. Well expressed, however, and I enjoyed reading this. Tiffany J.
