I know about promises but never from you
Its not a misunderstanding
Its failing me, too
I still feel something
I saw it in your eyes
I saw it that hazy afternoon
when you wouldnt let me cry
I think I left your back seat
And moved to brand new space
Now its always good
when I fall asleep from day
All the different promises
But never one from you
Its like the stars in the sky
Theyre failing me, too
Have me to you but barely enough
I shine down underneath your love
When I am only one, lost without you
I still feel something
but its hidden from my view
I try to catch it when I cry
on crazy afternoons
Its like your distance
Its failing me, too
