We're all wasting out lives
day by day
In this thirteen year prison they force us to be in
Put in here before we could do any wrong
What have we done to deserve this?
We're the "youth of today"
Give us a chance
Give us our freedom
We can't prove anything
Thta's nothing to work for
Drop out!
You're automatically a failure in societys eyes
What do we have you prove to you
You take our dignity, Our freedom at a young age
We have nothing to prove to you
You've been watching us for the past thirteen years
Rotting away

| there is so much out there to walk towards... this poem represents a lot of the youth of today... if only you could be around the people who can show you that there is much much more out there in the world to live for.... if we do not believe in todays generation where will we all be tomorrow????? A good poem .. thank you...true feelings written |
