Minds' Words of Life

Contributed by dreama on Wednesday, 2nd March 2005 @ 06:06:17 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

To articulate one's jumbled thoughts is harder than the words that describe the process accurately convey.
To liken the mind to that of the universe itself, with its spinning galaxies, circling suns, rotating worlds and everything therein, within each tiny system is complexity to defy reasoning and comprehension; and once it is all there, existing and working, it appears that nothing could be simpler and it was meant to be all along.

To catch sunlight in one's hands, to gaze with wonder upon the lands,
to stroke and sense a loving rose and to feel its blessing by one's nose.
To stare with longing at a loved one's face when pictures take you through time & space.
To taste the freshness of the breeze of new life given by old trees.
These things I love and will sorely miss when my path leads me to deaths soft kiss.
For each breath is numbered, nothing lasts forever. My sight must be onward with my past only to treasure.
My thoughts are my own, my feelings to hide. Is there a link between what is shown and what I feel inside?
Only I know what I care to share but I know all I know isn't all that's up there.
So I feel destined to wander on and wonder where my feet will take me.
My ambition seems to have come and gone so my fate does not worry me greatly .
So where I am and where I've been, who I've met and what I've seen
will affect my life as much as anything can and make me into my own man.

Beautiful & well written.
By this poem I have been smitten.
It’s so good it defies reason.
To not love it would be treason.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
