Take the pain
for the rewards are there
cheep shots
make tempers flair
scoring a goal
the best feeling there can be
don't take a stupid shot
is there a pass i didn't see?
Do a deke
fake a pass
keep your head up or
you'll be on your a**!
Play defenceively
fight for the ball
defence wins games
and winners stand tall
Take 'em down
or take one for the team
Always remember their defence
isn't as big as they seem
Teams that play together
always win together
winning it all
is there anything better?

Hey Patti,
I also love the game of football(played with ya feet and ya head! None of this excessively padded rugby that some call football-played with ya hands! although I also like rugby some:-)
You've captured the thinking spirit of our best, biggest and most beautiful game here. Well done.
There really should be more sports writes, or maybe I just miss them? I have a couple 'Them!' and 'Ryan Giggs', check 'em out if you like!
God I love Football!!!! Well done again.
