All the Pretty Glass Houses

Moses parting the Red Sea,
carefully divides a country
into absolute right and wrong,
unforgiving in its view,
if you don't watch out,
it'll turn on you.
There must be a lot of angels out there,
because all I see are stones in the air.
I wish I could call out sinners,
I'm sure then I'd feel like a winner,
like everyone else who says it's evil
to marry gay, have an abortion,
what's on TV, the social distortion
is enough to drive one mad.
Is the Pope God?
Should I listen to his mandates
about who a man dates?
He is no prophet, no saint,
hell, there's a lot of things he ain't,
and he ain't God.
You can be firm in your postion.
You can ignore that there's conditions
that maybe some things aren't absolute.
There are situations that require arbitration,
and besides, who are you to judge?
Find me a bible, find me the passage,
on any of today's issues,
I don't want a cruddy excuse,
give me proof.

I love this, with it it being an issue I am fond of discussing I am guilty of being biased, but excellently written none the less.
