I run upon a shining glass
A plate of solid black
I carry on my aching back, a world thats soon to crack
I glance down at my dark reflection,
then upon the moon
"why have you put this weight upon me?"
"Do you wish me to go so soon?"
Of course I am not answered
Simply left to drift
With this aching in my soul,
Why must I do this?
All the world around me
Is darkness to the core
and beneath my yearning soul
lie wounds my heart have bore
Within this glass I see myself
so lonely, hearts of lost defeat
Waiting for the glass to break
This weight to leave my feet
I only I were falling, tumbling down
no longer would I ache
But as I stand upon this ground
My mind begins to flake
As all of my good memories
slowly start to fade
They are replaced by sad ones
From my baddest days
I wonder why the one was me
Chosen for this day
And as I search on endlessly
I find that I'm too late
I feel these warming hands of life
that loosely grasp my frozen soul
Shaking to the core
And as I fall I realize
What all of this was for
I'll hear your lies, your sweet demise
And Tonight I've lost this war
