A greater love I am yet to see, For no one, no where, can love thee like I. Thy gentle face seems empty of glee, And under unreal content it seems to hide.
My heart-felt mind tis not convinced, Of an untemperate heart which to me lies; To which thine gentle soul has winced. And made ignorant thee who was once wise.
Tis a greater spirit that challegenges thine content, With mere appearances of greater love. When truth in me doth in thee torment. When tis mine love which thee doth speak of.
Why doth thee mine love evade? Why doth thee with unreal content thyself degrade?
