Emotional Abandon

Topic: goodbyepoetry

Do you withdraw as an abandon from whats felt?
Or is it me that dwindles
in spirit and in random air?
The separation, pasted through every hallway
leading to my desires,
hazes whatever we are on those days.
Our intentions, tho never clear,
become the background noise
and eventually disappears.

You were always real, the color.

I would never believe in your love, not ever.
Your reflection was too good for what I saw in myself.
The far-away fear still lingers.
I cant say I understand where I stand.
You would never say it in words.

You were always reasonable, the rock.

The distant things I missed have now come to the fore
The insecurities, the rambling, the weakness that only you invoke
They filter through the night,
thick enough to choke.
I drizzled my emotions like rain in your hands
and worshipped my vision of a majestic man.

You were always powerful, the castle.
I needed you to believe in my dreams.
The past will not save me, nor will my fairytale wishes.
With each retreat, you force me to see.

wow. that was quite amazing and possibly my new favourite of yours. the images were so powerful and moving.

it makes me sad to read this, i can relate to it so much. each line carries more meaning and i feel weak after reading it.

painful (for me) and brilliantly constructed.
