You said you loved me
you said your cared
now your with her
becoming a new pair
It never was offical
even tho it felt that way
all because I assumed
now I have to pay
Seeing you both together
I pay with the pain
all is lost
and nothing have I gained
you both look so happy
walking hand and hand
now I see you used me for
my heart that you have panned
you panned it for its riches
with it being innocent and new
took advantage of it's abundance
and tricked me to think I loved you
in a way, I'm glad you found her
in a way, I'm glad you're gone
but then in a way, i miss you
and will forever long.

Ah i beleive true love isn't able to leave your side...i hope you find the strength to move on and find someone who appreciates your love that you have to give...coz there are plenty of people out there who will love you for who you are....assuming in this poem was part of trusting him....and he broke that.....thanks for sharing this one it gives one alot to think about in life..

| This is one of the many reasons why one should never assume things. Assuming can make a lover leave you or turn parents against child. I should know about the latter. It is good to hear that at least someone has learned what assuming can do. Great write. |
