I have so many tears
they're drowning me,
and I can't seem to breathe.
The hopelessness is trapping me
and I can't seem to leave.
The sound of heart breaking is so loud
you can barely hear my screams.
I try to light my wick of hope
but despair is darker than it seems.
My knuckles are bruised and swollen now
from beating at my chest,
trying to revive my dying soul to give my heart a rest.
