When You Walked Out...

Contributed by mina-1 on Saturday, 5th March 2005 @ 10:30:08 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Do you know how it feels to
be lonely?
Do you know how it feels to
be sad?
The day you walked out of
my life
You drove me to go mad
I thought I had everything
I thought I had it all
Everything at my feet
Boy, I was about to fall
Wasn't I good enough?
Didn't I treat you right?
Did I do you any wrong?
Must I have put up a fight?
No use asking you
I now know you don't care
I'm left all alone
In my helpless time of
despair
I mistakenly believed you
loved me
I honestly thought you cared
Breaking my fragile heart
Leaving it far beyond repair
I hope you feel lonely
I hope you feel sad
To the breaking point
Where you too will go mad

I know the feeling of losing someone you love.Your poem states it very well. My first love I lost to death--my second love the girl I married walked out on me.I amre-married and love my second wife very much, but you really never get over loving someone and having them reject you never knowing the real reason.I hope you move on quickly.
