Dreams

Sleep

My escape from reality

But the gateway to my worst fears

I love it so

But fear it evermore

Each day I long for it

But dread remembering the past

Long for relief

Feel only pain

In sleep I am numb

No hurt

No sadness

No tears

Only numbness

My tears are my sea

My scars my wind

And my pain my boat

Together they take me there

The place where all my fears lie

Where dreams, reality and fears are all one
