Couldn't we dance together
beneath the stars faint light
forgetting words we've spoken
in times before this night?
To find, again, the magic
and trust we used to know
couldn't we dance together
like we did long ago?
I remember laughter
and love that flowed like wine
a life filled with devotion
two heartbeats, yours and mine
that surged with perfect rhythm
a harmony of need
please forgive me darling
for causing yours to bleed
Couldn't we dance together
upon a sea of glass?
Wouldn't wind hold its breath
and let one moment pass?
Without the storm of memories
your mind cannot let die
Couldn't we dance together
once more,
and you not cry?
