Vacuum

Contributed by helianthus on Monday, 7th March 2005 @ 03:47:37 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

He exists.
He is and he isn't.
....a black hole, devoid of all life,
his center as ancient as the universe itself,
...content to live vicariously through others,
intent on sucking the life out of me.
Self-preservation elevated to a higher level
where I am consumed without knowing.
Duty and obligation calling me to submit.
Manipulation reserved for my more resistant temperaments.
Domination. Total and complete.
Intimidation.
Your vortex pulled me at a sickening speed. Warped.
I am. Subservient.
Bound to obey from the very moment of my birth.
This gender-biased planet hurled me into the void.
Defenseless at first, I struggled to free myself from your emptiness.
...and the second I broke free,
You ceased to exist.
Your sole source of power?
It was me.

I really like this one, its deep, powerful and quite moving in a way. Admittedly I was confused at first, but then again thats not hard. A beautiful write, thanks for sharing.

Take Care

Paradoxical...

Your point is everstill valid...
An articulate piece.
