I sat at work today, and thought of you,
Tried to ignore the news
And block out political views,
I try to figure out the best way for me to understand,
Why you are over there in all that sand,
The more I begin to learn
The more anxious I become
I know your doing good
A job well done
And I do give you credit, you deserve
Not to many people are willing to fight and serve.
I just miss you.
As selfish as that may be
But I strongly feel, If you had your choice,
You would be here with me.
6 more months I count
As days go by
I hold up my chin,
Try not to cry
Do my best to be strong for you,
Sending you lots of hugs and kisses too.
Just remember I'm thinking of you.
Be safe, and do what you must do

| well many would ask why not your marine, would you suggest someone else? but i am not that many. makes you appreciate more, thats for certain. keep your chin up high, and you are not being selfish. |
