IN MY MIND , ALL I WAS THINKING WAS
ITS EITHER ME OR YOU
WHEN HELL BREAKS LOOSE , ONLY ONE CAN STAND TALL
ITS EITHER ME OR YOU
WE BOTH HAVE GOALS , BUT ONLY ONE OF US CAN ACHIEVE THEM
ITS EITHER ME OR YOU
YOUR SON NEEDS HIS FATHER , AND MY DAUGHTER NEEDS ME
BUT SOMEONE ISNT GOING HOME TONIGHT
ITS EITHER ME OR YOU
BLOOD WILL BE SHED , WITH A BULLET TO THE HEAD
SOMEBODY IS GONNA GET IT
ITS EITHER ME OR YOU
SOMEBODIES MOM IS GONNA GET A CALL ABOUT HER SON SLAIN IN THE STREETS
BUT WHO IS GONNA BREAK THE NEWS TO HER
ITS EITHER ME OR YOU
AS WE LOAD THE CLIPS , WE SAY A FINAL PRAYER TO GOD
BUT HE IS ONLY GONNA ANWSER ONE OF US
ITS EITHER ME OR YOU
I CAUGHT YOU AT THE STORE , SO I GOT OUT THE CAR WITH THE GLOCK IN MY HAND
THINKING
ITS EITHER ME OR YOU
I SAW THE FRIGHT IN YOUR EYES , AND THE LITTLE BOY BY YOUR SIDE
HE SAID "WHATS WRONG DADDY," BUT ALL I WAS THINKING WAS
ITS EITHER ME OR YOU
I WALKED AWAY THAT NIGHT , CAUSE THAT BULLET WASNT WORTH YOUR LIFE
AND ALL THIS DRAMA WENT DOWN BECAUSE OF YOUR WIFE
I LET YOU LIVE TONIGHT
TELL HER YOUR LUCKY TO BE HOME , CAUSE I COULD OF PUT ONE THROUGH
YOUR DOME
CAUSE WHEN IT COMES TO IT
ITS EITHER ME OR YOU

| It's so funny how I relate to your poems, you would laugh if you saw me and say "Yeah, Right!" But someone close to my family recently got shot 11 times while he was in his car, and can you believe it, he lived to tell us about it. And the guy who did it was thinking this too, "ITS EITHER ME OR YOU" and he wanted so much for it not to be him. But 11 shots wasn't enough, and he still has to watch his back. It's a vicious game. I really enjoy reading your poetry...please keep posting them. Tiffany J. |
