I thought they would always care
i was never spared of abusive care
one minute everything was fine
the next she was hitting and kicking me
she said she was sorry
but i was always left in worry
mom and dad liked to party
they would fight
dad put a gun to her head one night
He told me "watch me blow mommy's brains away"
