Be perfect as the Father is The weary scholar would translate, And somehow Jesus meaning missed- Be caring, be compassionate.
Deep in your bowels you shall feel Your fellows anguish, grief and pain, Perfections icy cold and chill Could not the universe sustain.
Stirred deeply, moved with empathy Your hart let it be rent By human pain and agony This is what Jesus meant!

A lovely write although it is impossible to be
perfect like the Father. I was a little confused
about the last stanza. Do you mean that
Jesus wants us to live in pain and agony? A
good poem in either case.
