Escape
Leave your troubles behind
relieve yourself of painfull backage
and walk with me
through the valley
Keep to the path
Do not stray into the forest
For demons wait there
and walk with me through the valley
Do not fear me
pay no heed to the howling of the wolves
and the staring eyes
through the trees
and walk with me
through the valley
Your eyes decieve you
nothing, and everything here can get you
and drag you screaming
into the pitch dark
Where haunted, windswept willows
stretch out their wooden fingers
Where unspeakable monsters are waiting
Where moonlight does not fall
Do not be afraid
and walk with me
through the valley

Lovely poem very dark and spooky yet
beautifully penned at the same time. I loved it
all but four lines in particular really stood out.
"Where haunted, windswept willows
stretch out their wooden fingers
Where unspeakable monsters are waiting
Where moonlight does not fall"
The alliteration in the first line and the
imagery in those four lines was amazing.
