Wasted Chances

selfstruggles

My life is filled with second glances, Times when my imagination nearly dances, I wish my heart could lead the way, But yet I stand with the inability to go or stay, My mind has built this giant fence, I use it as my emotional line of defense, Never really changing course, Merely trudging along at minimal force, Untill I find myself in one of my trances, Thinking about all my wasted chances

Brilliant. I really like this one, its insightful, expressive, emotional and heart-wrenchingly beautiful at the same time. A work of art.
Take Care

This was so interesting and enthralling that I seriously wanted it to be longer. To just continue on......
I couldn't find a single flaw and am ecstatic to have come across this unique poem.
It also leaves the reader with something to ponder on.
