Together in Their Dreams.

She is skipping down a path,
Winding through the flowers beds,
She comes across an old stone bench,
And decides to rest her head.
Gazing from a nearby bush,
A young man stands somewhat aloof,
Never moving, not a twitch,
As if the girl would vanish, POOF!
The young girl still rests her head,
Upon that cold and stony bed,
Alone in her dream world,
Where the winding path had led.
He swiftly, silently,
Removed his cloak,
Put it neath her head,
But never spoke.
The girl stirred not,
The girl still dreamed,
A dream where nothing,
Was never as it seemed.
Her cheeks were roses,
And lips were cherry,
And made the mans heart,
Exceedingly merry.
Rustling within the trees,
Awoke her from her strange dream,
With sleepy eyes she saw the man,
And tried but could not scream.
His hair seemed as soft as sable,
Yet his face seemed hard as stone,
His eyes glowed with a warm fire,
Yet they seemed so alone.
With a flourish,
The man bowed,
And kissed her hand,
As she allowed.
He wrapped his cloak,
Around her shoulders,
So white and cold,
Like Dovers boulders.
He put the hood upon her head,
Of fine red strands of gold,
That curled so sweetly at her temple,
Too precious to be sold.
His finger wanders
Up to her face
Before they know,
Theyre in a warm embrace.
They travel down the path together,
Through its windings, and across streams,
And through the gardens and the forests,
Together in their dreams.
