Dedicated to my friends from Camp Stella Maris
The skies were blue
(Underneath the clouds)
And the grass was a brownish green.
The sounds of children all around
Made it far from serene.
But that's okay
(I don't even care)
I like it better this way.
I had a wonderful time here, and,
I'll never forget it, no way.
Oh sure the water may've been cold,
(but then again, when wasn't it?)
Despite then, whatever you're told
Go take a quick jump in it.
But that's okay

The food was good
(alright, sometimes)
And the games were pretty fun.
But what I'm sure that I won't miss
Is burning in the sun.

The friends we made were the best yet
No better could be found.
We'll leave here without one regret,
Having found a common ground.

I like this, it almost seems like a song though. lol.
Good descriptions and images.
I adore the repeated piece, it doesn't make the poem too long, it makes it just about right.
