Nothingness

Contributed by StoneAngel on Tuesday, 15th March 2005 @ 11:41:08 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Burning, throbbing, vacant memories
blank screen, tingling sensation, is all I feel
I try to run but cannot
I try to hide but cannot
It comes for me, this nothingness
screams to me from every corner
yearning for me to let it in
demanding me to bring down my shields

I've built them up over the years
letting no one or anything in
blocking it
wishing it didn't come
knowing that it will catch up to me
one day, soon

It contols my every move
This nothingness
it consumes me
devours me
presses down on me
seeps so deep it covers my enamel
suffocating me in many ways
Until there's just the nothingness

Sitting, all is quiet
it's eerily peaceful
you can hear a pin drop, if there were a ground
But all that surrounds me is the nothingness
The nothingness
Eternity

Wow this is so sad. You had a fiance and you never told me?!? what kinda friend are you?!? (just kidding) Just remember to tell me next time cause I wanna come to the wedding. :)
*hugs* you'll get through this, and you'll find an even better guy, I know it.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
