Shadow Faerie

The shadow faerie sheds no light
Hiding neath her own fears
No one stops to look for her
In this safety all these years

Her little wings are useless
She hasnt flown for so long
The glow around her grows dim
Prominent faerie features gone

She cups her chin in her hand
And sighs a mournful sigh
A sparkled tear runs down her face
She only wishes for light

But still, she fears the Evil One
And knows he will soon come
So she must stay hidden here
Till his life on earth is done

She reminices on the past
When nothing held her down
She danced freely with her friends
Flying round and round

This Evil One can take on forms
One day a man, one day an elf
He haunts her dreams every night
Till she becomes lost inside herself

A mocking whisper startles her
And she turns around to see
Is he there? Does he know
How weak and fragile she can be?

Something wraps around her
But all she sees is dark
It traps itself within her
Leaving behind an ugly scar

The lightbulb turns on within her head
As she realizes how this was done
He turned himself into a shadow
And now she is the Evil One
