Bright Roaring Warts

Contributed by Steeleyes on Tuesday, 17th December 2002 @ 11:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

bright roaring warts
like star licks on ice
dreamed in lime ocean

damn that brat tv
no ariel diamonds come
a cogitation on crap

it's a suck sink
devils fish tank
warped hieroglyph
framed in an ant's eye

saffron tarts are ready
cooking in the fir kitchen
ready for her genius
sitting in tarry black flakes

part of my heart is gone
i feel it concrete
instead of gold blooded
here in the flesh

kiss the light years goodbye
bite the stardust
here we are
all together
bite the blackened leather
of a crystal cockpit

i miss your futility
know that feeling?
sunk below the even mist
hanging in the valley
before dawn

blossoms of slime erupt
your mechanical thoughts
feel the heat
from her brainy daughter

that's not a fusion
beyond comprehension
buttercups instead of brains
anyway inside

translucent fog bites me
i only came to walk the dog
in your ash-cold forest
the dew sparkles
through the dark

rainbow cupid wait
i'm here and following
i smell the rusty plume
from your velvet cape
of dawn

the thunderstorm trails
her lace of ozone
stiff flags on the mountain
aching for a rainy wind
i see grey crags
and scarlet poppies

revelation and confusion
rattle in a tin cup
spread out like an eagles eye
wrapped in fortunate tentacles

build an oxygene mantle
no time to cook the roses
the fire will melt that thought
of gone cold bone

giant trees of ashes
gondalas of flame
don't wake me
take me to the valley grass
spread me like an eagle
to the ground

create life with sound
open to a flies ear
dying here and reborn
to some new ocean

lamentable galaxy of wheel dreams
i feel the texture of smoke
boiling like white soup
drawn through an Ibis eye

in your life's time
eat of intelligence
before you swallow
the weakest link
and dig deep
for work's death

bramble pie steams
on the window ledge
hot milky custard
drips down
far from any cow

barroom cinema crawler
drink till your eyes fill
with visions of innocence
sparkling midnight
it's all yours
this shiny hour
eat the stars

nightgirl weaves her lips
round a memory of woolen dolls
whisks the thought of a love
like pastry on christmas eve

conundrum of bliss
in far-out galaxies of night
flung streams whisper
fleeced a note both
real but broken

shiny space will always win
seen from a hot walk
looking down at the dust
see the eyes looking back
this is serious dreaming

a lonely plant sucks rain
blown away by a hairy flash
of night
late under blankets
crackling like wolves
dancing

endless jewelry green
musk smelling powders groan
silk so soft on the skin
black satin nightshade
returns like a dream
within a dream

auriole glimpse speckled
not like a frog
flossed but vengeful
see it sparkle
in tedious gauze

remembering a dream within a dream
always seen

or down the other road
you didn't take
that morning
when the pines waved
and the yellow cotton
fields waved at you
hold that thought
by the mountains
they're grey enough
and old enough
to know
