Nights in Rome

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Thursday, 17th March 2005 @ 01:39:11 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Infinite darkness painted across the skies,
Tears from la Bella Luna,
Diamonds descending earthbound...
Ancient ruins whispering of timeless history,
Historia de Amore...
I lay beneath Obscurity's masterpiece, Night,
Warm and safe within my lovers arms

With his guitar of fire,
He plays our bittersweet song
Delicious seduction
Scrumptious adoration
My Italian angel of music,
Ruler of my heart and mind,
I give myself to you willingly

Hold me close,
Whisper the tale of our love sweetly in my ear,
Satin caresses all over my skin,
Blissful kisses for every tear
I cant help but fall in love,
Every time you look at me,
Such true love in your eyes I see

La Mona Lisa smiles her enigmatic grin,
She knows something the world doesnt...
But we know she smiles because of the eternal love we share,
A bond no one could ever break,
A depth no ocean could ever surpass,
A beauty that not even la Luna could compare...
And we drown in each others sea,
Relishing this new freedom we've given each other...

Take me away, gorgeous seraph,
High into the midnight sky,
Upon your fiery silk wings,
Show me the world through your precious eyes
Make me melt with your candy-sweet kisses,
And I die a blissful death... as you softly whisper, "Baby, Ill love you forever..."

Nights in Rome,
Endless hours with you,
Doing what lovers do...
Long talks of everything and nothing,
Dancing to that song we know so well
In silence our bond grows ever stronger,
For we feel the gentle touch of love,
And our hearts can't help but welcome it with open arms...

Dreams of you bring me closer,
To where you are
We'll meet at the shores of illusion,
Share a kiss under the moonlight,
Live like Romans do,
And Ill never stop loving you...

Rich and textured, with a continental flavour.
I admire its consistency, although in some places I think certain quotes are unnecessary in the context of such emotion;

"Baby, I’ll love you forever..."

Perhaps you could have left what he says to our imaginations . . ?

Anyways - nice stuff, again.

Thank you for taking me to Rome. Some where I would love to visit. You made it happen in the way I always dreamed it would.

One day soon we will fly there on the wings of a dove.

Magnificent and pure romantic images

Love Angelxxxxxx

Yes, yes, and YES !!! When in Rome ...
Find Amour ... hold it tight ... draw it in and let it consume you completely

What more could be said of another flawless addition to an already long list of favorite poems. Marvelous Stephy ~
