When We Stand

Contributed by ForeverAndADay on Friday, 18th March 2005 @ 06:28:29 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

When we stand....
The skies will fall at our knees,
Remnants on the earth like sands...
Scattering about our feet.

When we stand,
Our breath will send the mountains tumbling down,
The air will shift,
A million years will go by in a second,
In a hurricane time rift.

When we stand,
The rivers will swallow themselves up,
Pulling down great ships into the dark,
Where they will become naught but,
Wreckage and junk.

When we stand,
We will be guided by a surer hand,
We will come down upon our equal man,
We will swallow the world, and wipe
Everything away,
With the slide of a hand.

When We Stand,
The earth will shake with voices,
The dust will gather upon itself,
Dust Eaters will be forgotten,
Ash and smoke will eat Themselves.

When we stand...
We will put this to an end.

-DNB

I feel that this is amazingly true. Every day that we live we are destroying something. People need to start doing less for themselves and more for everything else... than this wouldn't happen. This is a fantastic write... keep this up...
