Knowingly a creature of habit
I sit in silence
content to be alone, apart
aside from the warmth of companionship
and yet today, today I am lonely
aware of what I am missing
aware and wishing to change
The room around me
rushing, rushing
time draining down and away
still I sit here, silent, somber
and in my corner, dream
