Now I'm an elusive memory
Packed deep within your mind
Do you try to erase me
So traces of me you don't find
I always send you images
Of love that once was strong
You left me with no answers
You told me our love was so wrong
I was once the sole keeper
Of your sweet and loving heart
Now I'm the seeker
Trying to break your rampart
How can you walk away
Desert me in such a way
My tears cascade on my face
As the moon shadows from its umbrae
We had an exquisite love
Only shared by few
That once perfect romance
Is as cold as the morning's dew
You said you didn't love me
That you no longer cared
Leaving me to make amends
So your heart you wanted spared
For now I only dwell
In the midst of your mind
Waiting, hoping and praying
My love once again you'll find
