I'll take your hand
One last time
only to have a chance, to say goodbye
I'll walk through life
without you by my side,
and I'll miss you more with every breath I take
Running, hoping it's not too late
A screaming voice, so familar to my faith
I reach your side, and look into your eyes
As tears run down, our identical faces
For so long, we were one, we shared our pain, our loss, our fun
it's not quite what I wanted in life
To watch a friend give up as pain stains their eyes
but as I stared down through tear-caressed eyes
I only wished I'd realized
How I missed it, I'll never know
Nothing seemed as wrong to me
As to sat by your side,
like normally
I've watched the blood pour and stain the sheets
we played with in our childish years
I'll never forget the look on your face
As you lay on my knee, holding the lace
that I gave you on your last birthday
Nobody knew as I held you, goodbye
As I cried in your room,
Nobody knew, the pain we went through
together for the last time, I can never forget
The words that were spoke, as you drifted to rest
"Never forget me, I won't forget you
I'll love you forever, we'll never be through
And even though you can no longer see
I'll stand by your side, just as you did for me
I'll miss, you even though I'm gone
And although you don't know it, we'll sing our own song
when your on that stage, singing with them
Ill be in the audience, humming your hyms
So never forget me, as I will not loose you..I'll love you forever, and ever..."
