Breaking glass, smashing walls. Yelling voices, emergency calls.
Beating bloody, broken bones. Body of love, heart turned to stone.
Empty rooms, full of hate. Measured space, no peace to make.
Painted souls, cracked faces. Many people, many places.
Pain is mine, cursed is yours. Stinging voices, slamming doors.
Scared skin, red and blue. The difference is, me and you.
Sad smiles, happy frowns. A torn up blanket, a broken crown.
Tapped to pieces, ripped together. A messed up mother, a drunken father.
Plain is the game, odd is nice. One step closer, just roll the dice.
Time has come, ticking away. Scary is tomorrow, safe was yesterday.
Ice and hot, sweating cold. A burning eye, life unfolds.
Babies cries, parents fears. A broken wing, a flowers tears.
Violence and happiness, on a one way street. Free spirits walking, on wounded feet.
Concrete floors, face down on the ground. Silence secrets, clueless town.
No one there, just plain old dark. No sun no light, a face unmarked.
Scary stories, sad abused life. No one helped, now a child died.
Grown unbroken, a bird is free. A soul un-trapped, for the world to see.
That everything is different, but still the same. Only a nightmare, that had to change.
