Consequence
it's a threat you use
three sneezes and my chest explodes
no more easy breathing
headache pounding
unrelenting ache
you say consequence as though
someday
i'm dying and i know it
you dare me to continue
"what if your hearts muscle won't contract due to electrolyte imbalance"
"what then"
i say "i'm dead"
it's obvious
i get it
i'm dying
my hair fills the brush and litters the floor
i'm not eating
six years and i think i know
i know better than you the hurt
i know better than you
go back to your comfy couch
your five o clock appointments
twenty dollars an hour
asking "why"
i'll tell you the answer
let you in on the secret
i hate myself
i hate the endless choices
the inevitable ramifications
the spoil of the dream,
reality
i hate it
and all of you who force me
to live it
to endure it
so you say "killing yourself is not the answer"
and i reply, "i never wanted to die"
i wanted the world to change
to become a place full of life
i never wanted to die
but there is no life here
a world of mirrors
millions of pointing fingers
people dodging the reflection
go back to what you know
the little girl cutting her wrist
because daddy raped her twice last night
i'm already dead
so ***** it
