There is a place that I fear A place that I won't go near But people push so I'm headed Towards a place for me is dreaded A place I would rather not be A place most call reality But whats real for some not for others They see black while I see colors What is real and whats not there I do not know nor do I care I just want to be left alone In the world that I call home The place in my brain I go to think When life has me on the brink I go and it's calm and peacful I don't have to worry about other people It's a place where I can just be me A place I am truely free A place far from reality

I liked you poem, mostly because I can relate to it. I have a poem much like this one, its a bit more sad though. If you have the time, check it out, its called "Where the Gravel Meets the Grass." Good writing. |

Ah..... this took me back into FFXI. That game sucked me in like no other game had, and that's saying something. I logged 55 days into that game last summer... craziness. Eventually though, I had to quit; mainly to better myself as a human being and not live in a simulation. I understand this poem completely however, and I still become enveloped in a weekly rental once in awhile. I don't know if your "place" lies in gaming, but I'm glad that you have somewhere to unwind from this bipolar world. |
