Missed Chances

Topic: InspirationalPoems

Do you see it!
Look, it shot across the sky!
A representation of life!
Never to perish or die!

There it is again!
Only more jaded!
It still has it's color!
Only some has faded!

You missed it again!
If only you would've looked!
Just raise your head high!
How little energy that took!

Wow, look again!
Did you see that!
It passed a third time!
I wonder if it'll come back!

I think that's it!
But it's turning to charcoal!
It's still very pretty!
Although far from gold!

You missed it again!
If only you would've looked!
Just raise your head high!
How little energy that took!

I can barely see it!
But it's there!
It's lit a little!
But you don't even care!

It's gone!
You missed all your chances!
Like rejecting one thousand,
And three dances!

Opporunities in life!
Come and go!
If you won't take the leap!
You'll never know!

It passes once!
All bright and gold!
But as it keeps going!
It gets more dull!

Take it while you can!
Beauty doesn't last!
Then for your future!
You'll just wonder of your past!!!

Every chance we miss- is a doorstep moment we'll never know. Now my definition of a doorstep moment are those chances that make memories. The question is how much can one chance and how many will they miss by pondering?

A very likeable poem.

Kie
