We were such great friends before
But now weve grown apart
It seems like weve closed the door
And it truly breaks my heart.
We could always make each other smile
As we spent time together
I thought our great friendship would last a while
But its changed, just like the weather
As I look back on all the fun times weve had
I sit here and smile as I cry
I think about our grade eight grad
Man time does really fly.
If we could go back to then
When we had time for fun
I remember back again
When wed play out in the sun
You were the friend I could tell anything to
And I knew I could trust
You were the friend I stuck to like glue
Who knew our friendship would blow away with the dust?
Do you remember the good times?
Did they mean as much to you?
Do you still think of them sometimes?
Because I sure do.
Can we go back,
To the way it was last year?
Our friendship was on track
But now it has disappeared.
I dont want to lose your friendship
Youre the best friend Ive got
Youre better than leaving on a chip (insider)
Which really means a lot
I just want to say
I miss what we had
I wish we hadnt gone astray
It makes me kind of sad.
I think we will always remember
The fun times weve had
Even if we arent still together
For what we had, Im glad.

it hurts to remember the good times of a friendship that aren't there anymore.

remember my day when i was young and miss

A memory as it should be. Not held in hate or anger, remmbering the heartbreaks, but remembering the things that held it together. If that makes sense, it is 1:58am here.
