I drink and drink
But I just feel sick
Hey that's life get used to it,
I signal to you across the room
You seem distracted
I re-open scars and create new wounds.
The people next to me don't understand,
I'm cursed, naked and deeply ashamed,
I need to go, but I've nowhere to run to,
I need to go back to your house, to your room.
Please close your heart and close your eyes,
Everything that people tell you are just packs of lies,
I need to lay with you, how I need you tonight,
My bones are crumbling but my soul is on fire.
Well, we said goodbye by Chapel place,
It wasn't the first time, it'll happen again
But still I felt like shedding a tear,
I'm so far from you, yet so near,
And then I go and drug my mind,
A certain something
I can't help but think I've left behind,
I get in touch, sounds like you're fine,
One for the road, just in time.
So I'm back where it all began,
Another night,
It may as well be another land,
I can't help but think of you,
But confusion grips me tight,
You,me, she and her,
I can't get this right.
A dwindling flame,
A violet sea,
A head that is filled with jealous hypocrisy,
A walking contradiction
A buzz that doesn't last,
An end to this beginning
A finish to this start.
