The culture of peace Has slowly subsided Tyranny has finally Rendered it silent Commotion In the streets below No emotion In the faces I used to know
History books offer Descriptive reminders Of a stolen past Left far behind us A simpler time Of women and love All that seemed to matter Was if the sun rose above
Poets, philosophers, Intellectuals and such Quickly turn to dictators Unruly oppressors, to power they clutch Rioting in the streets Police hold their ground Stomping feet Revolution is just around-
Around the corner, under the trees I can be found alone Writing and thinking Of my essence with scorn My thoughts may not count My soul may be bare In My dream of dreams We cant yet be there

Great read,
it reminded me a bit of
a Dylanesque or Lou Reed
narrative.
Cool.
