********************************
We are born and given life. We grow up and live to survive. Our daily practices dictate what kind of future we will have. When we go to work, and work diligently and work beyond the call of duty it dictates possible promotion. If the person doesn't do that, that person risks getting fired.
As life passes on, we make choices. Choices that keep us from loving, choices that promote the future, choices we make between good and evil, living, or dying, and/or choices that are made for us such as accepting responsibility for something or someone you hadn't planned on taking care of.
Such hate in the world today, no one feels safe anymore. It is a shame we cannot all get along. Shootings, bombings, drugs, reckless people with their cars; these are not elements I want my childrens children exposed to. My children are grown and know the difference between right and wrong, why people hate, and do stupid things. But, my grandchildren are young how can they understand or learn? I do not have enough time to teach them.
In my day, the world seemed more peaceful. There were political events that became tragedic but overall the day-to-day scheme of things seems better. Individuals were respected and knew the boundaries of what they could do. Today, it seems like the world has become jaded and disconnected from their true emotions and it the core of their own successes.
There will be a time when you wake up and realize that your life has passed you by and you must remember all the memorable times life brought to you. You fight the urge to change things now, if you are dissatisfied with your lifes outcome, you are entirely too set in your ways to change now. And, as you sit by the roaring fire looking down at your children, and grandchildrens pictures from the photo album you wonder why this is your fate?
Life is not always predictable. You cannot rely on things being smooth and happy everyday. Unexpected, unhappy, painful things will occur throughout ones lifetime and you will have to learn to cope and be strong. You will not be able to live your life with no direction, aspiration, or goals because virtue and love will be hard to acquire under such circumstances. It is important to live life to the fullest and cherish each day.
Learning lifes path or direction allows for one to have inner peace and solitude. May I ask you to think about the following; Are you happy and content with your personal life? Are you loved by a special someone? Could you find yourself with a salary raise, and a promotion sometime next year?
You are probably laughing, but these elements of life matter to the quality of life you live. As long as you allow yourself to be open to the possibility of such things you will be much happier. As I sit here, daydreaming of the memories of my life, and continue to write these words of wisdom to the future children of the world, I begin to feel faint.
As I sign my name; Love, Nana. I take one last breath and take a long look around my home and outside through the window, embracing every moment and then close my eyes and fade into a ray of light. The pen falling to the ground, and Nana in an upright sitting position with the folded paper in her lap.
My family gathered around my grave, with flowers and thoughtful memories. I watch over them everyday and hope my words of which I wrote before my passing will allow for my family to be secure, happy, loved, and successful. And, in addition to know the meaning of life or at least the way it was perceived to me.
