In my mind you take me
Flights of fancy, fantasy
And I dont know how you do it
And I dont want to be free
I could be tongue tied forever
Never more again to speak
If it meant that you would save me
If by you I were released
And Im lying in this darkness
And Im hoping you will see
That I could be meant for greatness
But I need you here with me
Ive been waiting now for ages
For some one to come along
Who can hear these words as I do
Who can help me sing these songs
If it means that for a moment
For an hour, for a day
That is all that you can give me
Before you must go away
I would sacrifice most everything
To take you in my arms
I would hold you here against me
Until all my strength was gone
And Id relive every moment
And Id paint the memories
And Id write the words of our songs
To live on eternally
But I dont know where to find you
You exist within my dreams
Yet this bruise of love still lingers
On my neck, your lips did leave
And the trails of your fingers
As they traveled down my back
Seem supportive of the issue
Other evidence does lack
Oh and maybe Im just crazy
Oh and maybe Im insane
Oh and maybe you dont feel it
Maybe you dont feel the same
But Ive got to keep believing
Cause Ive got to live this dream
And I cant live without knowing
That I have tried everything
Cause
In my mind you take me

This is one of your best, I think.
This is the type of poem that you don't want to comment on..in case the comment spoils it, somehow.
What a fantastic dream to have, and you have written it out so beautifully, too.

Sounds to me like you should ride the bus alllllll the time if this is what transpires. The dream filled tone, and the longing sentiments...just made me say....Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

The urgency... the clarity... the... everything... of this just absolutely unravels me.
Wow, Nazzy.... this thing hit me harder than anything you've written before (and there how been so many extraordinary poems, so many incredible songs)... this... has my heart racing. Wherever you are - you ought to walk out the door right now and shout this at the world. Damn... this is potent.
Man - this is nowhere near delicate, but I've got to tell you... it just feels like something tore through you and splattered itself upon the page. And then... burst into flames.
Imagining you must still be feeling a bit rocked for having experienced this one,

It's facinating the way you deal with the facinating. Your mind seems to be an endless resource of fantasy, and creativity. The way you sort of stir things up with vivid imagery and clever verse is amazing.
