Hating Myself

Contributed by AnastasiaN on Friday, 1st April 2005 @ 10:47:43 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

It's a new day but it feels no different from yesterday
this sunrise brings on new disappointments
and I hold my breath through it all
but at the end it still doesn't make sense
Every day comes with a reminder
of how you've hurt me in every way
and each day is a punishment
that I endure in shame
Each morning it gets harder to see the light
the silver lining gets lost through the clouds
and each day I find myself losing this fight
I've lost every part of me that once made me proud
Every day I resent myself more
and I regretfully blame you for it all
this town is poison to us both
and if I stay any longer it'll be the cause of my fall

I hate being wrong too and regret is a piece of meat we never swallow whole. I like this poem, and it sits with me, and is very much what I've come to know as you. Apparently you do need to get out of that town - it infiltrates most of your writing. The world is huge and full of possibility, don't give up before you get there.

:)

Your so right... and i know exactly how u feel... never regret though, you have to try your hardest to fight all the 'what ifs' and 'if only's...' because they turn your heart cold and slowly kill you from the inside... they fill you with resent and prevent you from feeling remorse... i know how you feel, your words in this heartfelt poem says it all...
