You cannot love
what you cannot feel
Images fade with time
as do gentle memories that once carried you through fields of anguish
now you're left with only scorched visions of the future
perhaps of no future at all.
Rain gently, yet violently, soaks you to the heart
your soul looks for dry ground
but the dry ground is burning, flames dance in the shape of her body
wickedly
they
move.
